Driver/Cleaning Associate

Job Summary:

The Driver/Cleaner is a dual-role position responsible for transporting cleaning staff and equipment to various locations and performing cleaning tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role combines driving duties with hands-on cleaning responsibilities, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the cleaning firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Duties:

1. Safely transport cleaning staff and equipment to and from job sites.

2. Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition.

3. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues to the supervisor.

4. Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.

5. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely arrivals.

6. Assist with loading and unloading cleaning equipment and supplies.

Cleaning Duties:

1. Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting at various job sites.

2. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.

3. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.

4. Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

5. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.

6. Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.

7. Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals.

8. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

9. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and sanitation.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

3. Prior experience in driving and/or cleaning services is a plus.

4. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

5. Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

6. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

9. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all occupants.
